Basic Troubleshooting Tips

• Exit all VOD programs or menus before troubleshooting.  Set-top boxes may freeze when sending signals/changing account coding if you are in the VOD menu.

• Non-responding boxes will not be able to receive On Demand.  Check for a possible Non-Responding set-top box.

• If On Demand is working with the exception of SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand) services (such as HBO, Showtime, Starz!, etc.) please review the following message:
  • Do you have a pending downgrade? When you request a future-dated digital downgrade, you will lose access to premium VOD content immediately upon entry of the downgrade request, regardless of the effective date.  You will, however continue to have access to all other VOD content (Movies, News & Info, Sports, etc.) until the downgrade order is complete. You will only lose the premium content they have decided to cancel.

• If On Demand does not appear in the VOD menu:

1.  Reboot the set-top box (power it off, unplug the power cord, plug it back in and reapply power after the time displays on the LCD screen).

2.  Contact customer service, reference VOD trouble, and that a “HIT” be sent to the set-top box.

Can't record VOD

Recording On Demand programming is not an available feature.  You can only watch an On Demand program during the rental period for that program.

Only Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind Icons on VOD Screen

• If only the Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind icons are visible on the VOD screen, powercycle the set-top box to resolve:
  • Turn the power off
  • Unplug the power and plug it back in
  • After the time displays on the LED, turn the box back on
